Second lockdown at Fenbrook

On Sun., April 27, Fenbrook Institution concluded the Exceptional Search of the facility.
On Tuesday, April 22 inmates at Fenbrook Institution were placed under lockdown status, in order for staff to facilitate a search of the facility.
The institution remained in lockdown status while an assessment of risk was conducted and a plan to return to normal operation developed.
The search was ordered by the acting warden following receipt of information that there was contraband within the institution. Information gathered indicates that this contraband may be linked to the previous search in March.
The warden ordered the resumption of a modified operation at the Institution on Monday.
One accommodation unit at a time will have an hour and a half of yard time beginning after the noon count. Visits remain suspended.
During the search staff recovered contraband from various areas of the institution, including a large reserve of tobacco, sharp instruments and brew making still parts.
