Join Jenny Cressman in Huntsville, at her gala opening Mar. 8 at
noon for her latest adventure - opening a retail store called
reVIBE! at 77 Centre St. N. You won’t be disappointed.
It
features "Reclaimed clothing and eco-eclectics," a broad subtitle
intended to indicate the ecologically "green" nature of the
business mandate.
Besides reclaimed clothing, reVIBE! offers other reused or
re-purposed items, particularly antique furniture and art made
with recycled materials.
Antique dressers, wardrobes and tables will be used for displaying
clothing, and will be for sale on consignment supplied mainly by
Peter E. Baker Antiques. He has appeared on various Antiques
Roadshow programs.
Local
artists are also being invited to submit work on consignment, as
long as it, at least in part, is made from recycled materials.
Jennifer Pimentel's work is available. She makes beautiful
necklaces using reclaimed exotic woods, such as Brazilian cherry.
The
dynamic reVIBE! logo demonstrates Pimentel’s talent.
Offering a different assortment of used clothing is the primary
reason for establishment of this store. The reVIBE! team is
committed to sourcing out interesting clothing in a variety of
sizes and styles, which can be offered at affordable prices. To do
this, we will be dealing mainly with out-of-town used clothing
wholesale operations.
Any
clothing brought in that cannot be sold at reVIBE!, for whatever
reason, will be given back to the customer or passed on to a
charitable organization.
The
reVIBE! staff team is comprised mainly of women, in keeping with
Cressman's overriding vision for this venture.
Cressman will be maintaining her part-time position with the
Muskoka Women’s Advocacy Group, based at Chrysalis.
Lorraine Nelson is the full-time retail manager. Other key members
include Jen Dix and Penny Patterson.
A
gala grand opening celebration takes place on March 8,
International Women’s Day at noon.
Linda
McLean will be performing and Soul Sistas will be providing
delicious snacks. |
