3 MUSKOKA LAKES POSITIVES AS S-M HITS 111 FOR WEEK

MUSKOKA — Simcoe-Muskoka topped 100 cases of COVID this week, a 50 per cent increase over last week.

Today’s daily count also shows three Muskoka Lakes residents are among 23 reported Oct. 9.

They are a female, aged 45-64, who had close contact.

And two males, one also 45-64 with close contact; and a man 18-34 who is still under investigation.

Friday’s health unit report highlights that there are now 43 cases at Simcoe Manor LTC in Beeton.

Other numbers from the latest local report include:

  • 6 new cases in New Tecumseth
  • 5 in Bradford-West Gwillimbury
  • 2 each in Innistil, Essa, Barrie and Springwater.
  • 1 in Adjala-Tosorontio

Two of the cases are males under age 18, in Essa and Innisfil, who tested positive respectively as a result of community acquired and close contact.

Simcoe-Muskoka ended the week with 111 COVID cases reported today, Friday Oct. 9.
